I Googled Consumer Reports and Splenda, and got:

I have heard that Splenda is the WORST one for you. I don't like any of them, but I use them. I like blue and yellow, don't like the flavor of pink at all.

What's "yellow", besides Splenda?

Is there one? I only know of Splenda being yellow. Unless there is a generic Splenda, then that is probably yellow.

In my never-ending search to reduce my sugar intake, I'm reading now that Stevia
sells 1% of artificial sweeteners on the market.

 :what:

Here's some samples one might find at the table. Aside from Dixie Crystals, lower right, which sweeteners seem to be among the better choices?

Years ago, I was offered a taste-test of a brand-new artificial sweetener; back then, the new stuff—unidentified as to manufacturer—tasted like salt!

(The pink stuff has an even worse aftertaste).

Yuck.

After a long battle with my ISP, I've successfully returned to dial-up. (They messed up, and my screen-shots—sent yesterday—convinced them that they were at fault).

Anyway, I've given a long-term test to Splenda and Stevia.

As to flavor, both are acceptable, but I'm going to place a big order for Stevia upon the recommendation of my Wolfeboro dentist. He says that I can used to coffee without regular sugar; so far, that hasn't happened!

Just use sugar. Fake sugars can't be a good thing. I try to use the real thing what ever it is, since my diet has now been limited, no salt, no fats, yeah right, all I've been able to do is cut back in my own cooking to eliminate fats and salt, sugar until I have to I won't use any substitute for sugar.

Now that I've had some time with "Stevia-in-the-Raw", I regret not first reading the reviews.

This product adds sugar (as "dextrose")

Oh well, only a year will pass 'till it's all used up.
