Photos at least as old as CW.

I had plenty of fun over the past few weeks with a scanner and boxes of old photos I found in my folks basement. There will be more to come, but the first one is this:

There was a note on the back (in handwriting I did not recognize) that said, "Herrick's Raccoon."

WHAT THE ?!

I thought pet raccoons were the stuff of Disney movies?! Anyone remember this Coffee drinking raccoon? I feel badly that I don't remember the name of the raccoon which was also written on the back of the [sign in to see URL] want to say "Rocky" but I'm not 100% sure.

I wouldn't want a wild raccoon indoors.
That raccoon looks like somebody's pet. Any more known about it?

WHEN was color film invented?

Avery is cute!

CW, no idea, but I'll be 49 this year and all my baby pix are black and white; by the time I hit first grade, the pix are in color. Of course that could just mean that my folks didn't switch to color right away... emoticon

Oh, Avery was DEFINITELY the Herrick's pet. That's all I know. I was wondering if anyone else knew about him/her. I suspect this picture was taken sometime in the 70's or [sign in to see URL] by some of the other photos that were around it.

Color film has been around for a long long time. very early pictures of myself and my brother are in black and white but while still very young they where in color as early as age 1, my current age in hexadecimal is 32 or so, they have been around probably since 1932 which by the way has nothing to do with my age, most likely color film was to expensive for common folk.

I recognize one or two of the people in the photos.
