Re: LV and Romaine's garden orphans
I'll tag onto this thread and throw out some lupine seeds. Mostly purple, but some pink, white, and blue.
Anyone?
LV, kudos on the stealthy pumpkin planting. Our dad does the same thing with sunflowers.

Re: LV and Romaine's garden orphans
I grew cantaloupe several years ago and it did great. It was an Alaskan variety and fit our growing season. It's kind of like pumpkins; huge plant size for not much production, but very rewarding in the end.

Yes, I remember those melons (the year your garden was at my house). The variety was "Alaska" and you got the seed from Pinetree. They are the ONLY melons I have ever seen grown successfully here.

Which does not bode well for my watermelons, but I refuse to give up!

Re: LV and Romaine's garden orphans
I had great luck with yellow doll watermelons. I haven't seen the seeds for them for a while.
Found this site searching
I was searching for "NH nursery tomato" Someone from Pelham spoke highly of them. The are still shipping plants according to the web site.
I was looking for a nursery in the Milford/Amherst area (I think) which used to have ads talking of a lage variety of tomato plants. I couldn't find it. What about Ledgewood Farm in Moultonborough?
