Re: What's with Copplecrown Mountain?

There are hundreds of small lots up there that were subdivided in the 60s.

A few years ago you could buy one from a few hundred to a few thousand.

What the heck did I write to get bad karma?

CY, Moose Mt does sounds right. I must have confussed the two slopes. My age must be catching up with me. :tfhat:

Is the confusion due to "Moose Mountain" being located on "Copplecrown Mountain"?

Moose Mountain ski area was in Brookfield off of RT 109.

Copple Crown ski area was off Middleton in New Durham where the development is now.

Same mountain range, different mountain, different town and county. Same era. Good times.

Actually the top of Copple Crown is in Brookfield (just barely). There used to be some markers on top which designated the town line (which is also the county line).

Copplecrown mtn is the tallest of the moose mountains, but isn't moose mtn. CW, do you have the two confused?

Yup. Now that I've checked a proper topographic map, I see they're separate peaks.

I have an excellent hiking map of Copple Crown. (Haven't done the hike yet) If anyone is interested in a copy let me know. McD
