Wolfeboro Historical Society

LINK-->>]The Clark House Museum Complex<<--LINK

While I know their website is relatively new, I had hoped for more. I'd love to see maps of town with dates of older homes identified and clickable histories.

Goose, I know you're a local history buff. Are you a member of the society?

I made the link a slight bit more clear , if not I'll never do this again... LOL

I would love to join - even though I'm far away. Do they have events around town?

I guess I should check out the website and find out.

I love some of their old publications - Like the Wolfeboro cookbook from the 60s - if anyone has seen a copy the "diet" section is hilarious.

Oops, I think it was the Chamber of Commerce that published the cookbook...

It was published in 1969 and is spiral bound. I think it is out of print but if I run across it on EBay again I'll post a link.

No - that was just a joke. The historical society website is pretty comprehensive. I had a great time checking it out and added it to my favorites. And it doesn't seem that hard to join. When I'm back visiting over the summer I will definately take Balloonshop Baby to the Clark House complex and we'll join.
